Grace Rodriguez is a current PhD student at the RPG Lab at the University of Houston, where she started in Fall 2024. She is also a Senior System Studies Engineer in the Power Systems Engineering Division at Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc., Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA.

Grace’s previous engineering roles include nine years as a transmission planning engineer at CenterPoint Energy in Houston, Texas, USA, and five years as an operations engineer at CADAFE in Caracas, Capital District, Venezuela. Additionally, she served as an educator at the Houston Independent School District for about eight years, teaching Spanish for PK through 4th grade and Mathematics for PK through 12th grade.

Regarding her engineering expertise, she has performed power system analyses using PSSE, focusing on power flow, short circuit analysis, capacitor bank switching, motor switching, and PV analyses. She is currently involved in stability analysis for generator interconnection in the PJM system.
