Our new research project is entitled “Optimal Sizing of Onsite Generation Resources for Self-Sustainable Offshore Loads”.
-
This project was first selected by Subsea Systems Institute (SSI) of Texas in 2022 and was later approved by Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).
-
We had the SSI Grant Program Kick-off meeting (with PIs of all selected projects) on February 15, 2023.
-
The project team consists of the PI Dr. Xingpeng Li, and Co-PI Dr. Kaushik Rajashekara from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at UH.
-
This 18-month project is to size renewable and storage resources to achieve zero carbon emission for offshore power systems that power offshore rigs.
