Congratulations to our PhD student Hassan Zahid Butt for winning Third Place (tie) in the Graduate Student category of the 2026 IEEE PES T&D Student Poster Contest.

His poster was titled Degradation-Aware Microgrid Optimal Planning: Integrating Dynamic Energy Efficiencies and Second-Life Battery Potential.

This recognition highlights Hassan’s excellent research on microgrid planning, battery energy storage systems, degradation-aware modeling, and second-life battery applications.
