Three of our PhD students, Hassan Zahid Butt, Rida Fatima, and Ann Mary Toms, attended the 2026 Energy Systems Integration Group (ESIG) Summer Workshop in Denver, Colorado, from June 15–17, 2026.
-
The workshops brought together participants from utilities, system operators, national laboratories, industry, and academia to discuss emerging challenges and practical solutions for future power systems.
-
The event provided a valuable opportunity for our students to learn from industry practitioners, exchange ideas with other researchers, and connect the workshop discussions with RPGLab research on renewable integration, microgrids, grid planning and operations, data center interconnection, and AI- and optimization-assisted power systems.
