Our project entitled “Hispanic Alliance for Clean Energy Education and Research (HACEER)” has been selected by MSRDC that is a collective of high-performing researchers and collaborative partners on a mission to elevate research.

Its official selection was first annouced on a DOE-EERE webpage on March 27, 2024.

The project has a start date of August 15, 2024.

The estimated Period of Performance is: 24 months.

The total project funding is $3,300,000, led by University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP), with five partnering universities: University of Houston, University of Texas at Arlington, University of Texas at San Antonio, New Mexico State University, and University of Puerto Rico (Mayaguez campus).

The funding to UH is $320,000, with UH PI of Dr. Xingpeng Li, and Co-PI of Dr. Kaushik Rajashekara. The IDC rate for this project is set to 8%.
